Acquisition Strategy

A sector-focused acquisition approach.

Galapark focuses on selected sectors where smaller businesses and assets can be acquired, strengthened and developed over time.

A deliberate, sector-focused approach

The focus is on sectors where ownership succession, fragmented markets, debt pressure or operational improvement creates scope for disciplined acquisition and value creation. Unrelated or opportunistic deals are not the objective.

Current areas of interest are UK freehold hotels; children’s residential care in England and Scotland; and specialist engineering and manufacturing across the UK and wider Europe.

UK Freehold Hotels

The UK hotel sector has produced situations where debt, post-COVID disruption, underinvestment or succession has affected valuations — but where location, property value and commercial potential remain intact.

Galapark looks for freehold hotel assets that would benefit from better management, improved revenue strategy or targeted investment.

Where appropriate, the preference is to work with experienced hotel management partners rather than operate directly.

Children’s Residential Care — England and Scotland

Children’s residential care is a regulated sector where quality, safeguarding and experienced operators are non-negotiable.

Galapark is interested in established homes and care businesses where those standards are already in place, and where a careful, sensitive ownership transition can be supported through thorough diligence.

Specialist Engineering and Manufacturing

Engineering and manufacturing businesses across the UK and wider Europe can carry strategic value through their workforces, technical capability, defence exposure or supply chain position.

We look for proven processes, capable management and durable customer relationships, alongside manageable capital requirements and a clear reason for an ownership conversation.
